Face Exercise Routines to Tighten Skin

A good face exercise routine can help you keep your skin firm and prevent sagging. The muscles on your face need regular workouts in order to keep them intact. If you make a point to use your facial muscles, they can better support your skin. The expressions you make when you talk and laugh are not sufficient alone to prevent sagging.

 

In fact, certain facial expressions can actually cause wrinkles or stretch out the skin. Face exercises must be done correctly so that the skin will not be damaged. There are ways you can do face lift exercises without over stressing your skin. When done on a consistent basis, these routines can help improve the appearance of skin which has already started to sag.

Lift Saggy Eyelids

 

Saggy eyelids can become an issue as a person ages. This can be prevented by exercising the eyelids regularly. Take your fingertips and gently press down on your forehead. This will prevent you from wrinkling the muscles between your eye brows as you give your eyelids a workout.

 

Now tighten the muscles around your left eye just enough to feel the muscles contract. It is not necessary to tighten them too much because this can cause wrinkles underneath the eye. Relax the muscles around your left eye and then do the same thing with your right eye. When you are just starting out, do about 25 repetitions. As time goes on, you can do 50 repetitions.

Face Lift Exercises to Lift the Neck, Chin, and Cheek Muscles

You can also do face exercises to prevent the skin under the chin and on the neck from sagging. To do a very effective face exercise for this area, hold your head back and look at the ceiling. Then open and close your mouth as if you are chewing food. You will feel this exercise working the muscles under your chin and around your neck.

This next exercise is to give a boost to your cheeks and the muscles near your lips. Take your index fingers and place them at each corner of your mouth. Your mouth should have an opening which is not wider than one quarter of an inch. Do not stretch your mouth with your fingers.

The purpose of having your fingers at the corners of your mouth is to provide resistance as you tighten your mouth and cheek muscles. Now contract your muscles and then release. Repeat this face exercise several times. This will make the muscles around your mouth stronger and give your lips a fuller appearance.

If you do face lift exercises regularly you can give yourself a younger look and firm sagging skin without surgery. These skin tightening exercises can work even if the skin already started drooping and sagging.
